What to expect at Kapetaniana Via Ferrata
In Kapetaniana there is the one and only trail of the iron road in Crete. In the wild and rocky landscape with the imposing gorges of Asterousia, on the slopes with the panoramic view to the Libyan Sea and among the flora and fauna of the region, this is one of the most impressive Via Ferrata routes in Greece. A route that not only offers unique images of the mountains and the sea, but at the same time can excite our senses with intense emotions and always with maximum safety.

The tour is available all the time of the year.
According to the Via ferrata international difficulty scale, that via ferrata is B(Κ2) – Moderately difficult – That means, steep rocky terrain with some small steps and exposed sites. Also, you need to have steady footing, a head for heights, good condition, some power and endurance in arms and legs.
Minimum group size 2 persons / Maximum group size 5 persons

Important info
*For the Via Ferrata you do not need previous climbing experience and it is suitable for beginners. Small children (from 13 years old) and small groups can also participate.
**Good physical condition is required. The Via Ferrata activity is not suitable for people who are afraid of heights, suffer from vertigo, etc.
***Proper hiking shoes or shoes with good friction is required.
